WSS Redpoint advised grounded GmbH, a subsidiary of the Westfalen Gruppe, on the spin-off and financing of the Essen-based startup Sustayn.

Sustayn was founded at the beginning of 2021. The startup offers a digital platform for increasing the sustainability of companies. Via an app, employees can integrate sustainability measures into their everyday work and into decision-making processes, thereby gaining a say in the implementation of resource-saving company initiatives such as plastic-free lunch breaks, double-sided printing or the use of electric pool vehicles.

The concept emerged in 2019 from the Westfalen Gruppe’s ‘Headventures’ ideas competition. Sustayn was spun off and financed by grounded GmbH. grounded GmbH brings together the startup activities of the Westfalen Gruppe.
