In November 2021, WSS Redpoint advised the founders of the Münster-based software company Frontastic GmbH on the acquisition by the Munich-based solutions provider Commercetools.

Founded in 2017, Frontastic is a composable frontend platform that brings business and development teams together to build commerce websites quickly and easily. It connects to any API to unify technical landscapes and provides the tools commerce teams need to focus on developing new features. Within a very short time, the company has successfully established itself as a new standard for commerce frontends.

The acquisition followed Commercetools’ announcement of its Series C financing round in September.
