WSS Redpoint advises the smart grid startup envelio on a Series A financing round by eCAPITAL, High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and Demeter of EUR 6 million.

Founded at RWTH in 2017, envelio offers energy grid operators a software platform that enables energy grids to be planned and operated digitally and automatically, allowing renewable energies and charging points for electric mobility to be better integrated into the energy system.

The capital from the current financing round will be used for internationalisation and to expand the team.

WSS Redpoint has provided comprehensive legal advice to envelio since its formation and also advised on the first financing round by HTGF and Demeter in summer 2018. On the current financing round, the WSS Redpoint team comprised Peter Siedlatzek, Dr Tobias Schroeter and Bonny Kern (IT).
